Here is a pic from tonight's gig at a fundraiser for Barack Obama in Austin. What a pleasure to play for the prez and a thrill to get to shake his hand. I couldn't be quite sure what he said when he came over but I swear I thought I heard him say, "Push-pull?"

When I saw the pic on the front page of the paper this morning, I noticed they mentioned the name of the band and everyone was in the pic except the steel player. Left wing conspiracy? OK, maybe not. Way cool fer you!

Oh, just for the record, my previous post was in jest. (I'm no dummy; I know that the moon launch probably wasn't photoshopped.) Wink

Congrats, Marty! (I bet you'll never wash that hand again, right?) Wink

BTW my comment about Hawaii was not meant to be political in any way. I'm just saying that he may notice the Steel Guitar more than most people because he was raised in Hawaii. Cool

Ahhhh Man, didn't you guys know that ole Barack likes alot of Steel when he's listenin to his favorite country tunes. He's even got his self a bar and some picks. Afterall he was from Hawaii where Steels were born. I'm glad to see the Prez has a very discriminating taste, and is able to pick out that classic tone that only comes from a Emmons push-pull Very Happy
