I'm just curious about what you like as for instructional materials. Just a quick survey type question....
Would you want to purchase materials like tablature books and CD/DVDs or would you find that having something completely online more appealing?
If some of you know of some good online instructional sites please point those out to me? Ideally, I would like to know of a website that an instructor has put together to share and promote the playing knowledge of steel guitar.
THANKS SO MUCH! _________________ Zane King

Zane, This isn't a steel guitar site. But, it will give you an ideal of what you can do on line. I happen to like this type of format as opposed to CD or DVD. You can pick and choose what you want to learn. Sometime on DVD/CD you only have a few minutes you want but you have to buy the entire DVD/CD.

I would like to see some stuff that can be downloaded so I can at least see whay I'm buying and if it is material that has already been covered or not. I'm the one having difficulties and know where I need help the most not someone else. I personally am tired of paying big bucks for DVD's where all they do is talk. Don't mean to be hard or rude for that matter but some of these guys don't have teaching abilities and you don't know this until you're hooked for 80 to 100 bucks of worthless material. I will buy no more unless I can see who and what I'm paying for. |

Good thought Ray. Did you check out the link that Bob suggests above? It seems they give a good preview on each lesson before you have to purchase. _________________ Zane King

I know what Ray is saying. I've bought DVDs over the years just based on the description. After viewing the DVD my $80 would have been better spent lighting my grill. That's why I like the above formate. |

I may be missing something but I can't find online downloadable lessons from Joe Wright. I certainly see where he does Skype lessons which is very nice. I also see where he has lots of the physical materials. Maybe I just missed it on his site where he has online materials. _________________ Zane King
