I purchased this recently on a whim, but I'm now realizing that my double-neck steel makes it a bit redundant. I bought it from the brother of the original owner, who received it as a kid in '46 or '47.

The instrument is all original save for the tone pot (the original dead pot is included). The pickup, volume pot, both knobs, the tuners, the case and I think even the felt are original. The tuning buttons have yellowed but have not shrunk or crumbled, and there is no pitting in the chrome hardware. The volume pot was recently cleaned, and it works fine now.

The Triumphal model has a solid maple body according to the Vega catalog, though I'd swear this one looks like pine. There is a curly maple veneer over the whole top of the instrument, and the fretboard is Brazilian rosewood. I think the black inlayed stripes are ebony. The tone is clear and cutting - not as bright as a Fender, but more smooth and refined.

The price is $450, including Paypal fees and shipping in the continental US. I'm not looking for anything in particular to trade, but I'll consider whatever you've got.
