Jerry Byrd busted out a 1st year model one Monday morning that he said he "could get 10K for it right now in Japan". It was such an awesome perfectly new example that I started shaking in my slippers and had to sit back down, nearly refused to even hold it. Seemed like it had never been touched.
He sold it to one of his students who had the next hour for $500, probably what he paid for it.
