I have a carter starter that has been modified by Chet Wilcox.
Do a search on this forum about Chet Wilcox. He is a steel guitar builder.

This guitar was 100% stock until Chet took delivery of it.
The pedals are still the same and standard emmons.
Left knee's still lower e's (LKR) and raise e's (RKL
Right knees;
RKL
1st string -
F# - G#
2nd string
Eb - E
6th string
G# - F#
Price drop - 775.00!
RKR
2nd string
Eb - D

You can see in the photo that the changer plate has been modified as well as he installed a bellcrank for the 1 & 2 string pulls.

I do not have the original gig bag that comes with these guitars which are useless anyway!

The picture shows only one nylon
tuner on the second string.

The tuning key and the one nylon
tuner accounts for tuning two of
the notes on the second string.

How does the third note on
the second string get tuned?

Thnx,
~Russ

Do you know how to get up with him and/or how much he
charges to do this?

Hey Russ - if you look at the top of the 2nd string area you will see the nylon cap for the lower.
