Toby's steel player is Josh Bertrand and he plays a Fessenden, or at least he did, I guess he still does. I met him a long time ago when he was about 17 or 18. He was a great player back then and I hadn't seen him in a long time until I started playing for Joe Nichols and we were touring with Toby and I was able to get re-aquainted with him. He's a great guy and a great player.

Dean, Josh also played an EMCI steel in addition to the Fessenden. The EMCI can be seen in the video of Toby's song "I Love This Bar". I think he plays his Fessenden more now, though.

Very Happy I saw the show, but the camera never got close enough to the steeler to tell who he was, he played fine though. His Ax looked like an old Sho-Bud to me.

I think Toby gets a bad rap sometimes. Yeah, some of his stuff is trendy and mediocre but songs our bands get to do like Crash Here Tonight and A Woman's Touch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk_osj1lvvQ are way better than a lot of the fluff out there. He's got some pretty good tunes out there. FYI, I believe that's Dan Dugmore on "Touch".

He also supports our troops and does a lot of shows for our Military personnel. He's OK in my book.
