Do any of you steel players name your instruments? If so I'd like to hear what you've named them. Thanks. _________________ Dana Blodgett

Well, my GFI steel guitar is named "Redgold Beauty" and my Jackson BlackJack Custom is named "Black Diamond". "Black Diamond" is my main guitar and the best steel I've owned/played.

In hindsight I should have named my Sierra D10/12 "Back Breaker". In 2006 it finally did me in.

I once owned a guitar that would not hold tune very well, I had several interesting names for that one! |

Years ago when I was first starting out on the steel I was really into Buddy Cage and the NRPS so I was considering "Mescalito" in reference to Panama Red or possibly "Lochinvar." Nothin set in stone yet.
Mike, I like the white MSA-Don't see a wrist lever though!
Brett, years ago I used "Black Diamond" strings on my acoustic guitars. I am really interested in the Jackson as I have owned two SHO-BUDS. Does it pull from both ends or is that a different model?
Stu- Lindsay Lohan-I won't ask why! I like it though _________________ Dana Blodgett

Dana, I think most Jackson Steels pull from both ends.

Elton,Yes she was one of Jack Ruby's girls,I met her at a music store and she took me home to check out all of her instruments,She had a house filled with stuff,I remember she had an MSA guitar drums,a P.A.a very sweet person,The Jack Ruby connection scared me,She would always show up in her big white Cadillac and we'd ride thru Dallas,I didn't even own a car back then. _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5... Elton, I can relate to the heavy les Paul. I used to own a '76 les paul Custom that must have been a solid 10 pounds! It just killed my neck and back so I regretfully sold it. Talk about tone, what a monster beautiful guitar!I switched to the Les paul specials(juniors)and haven't had the problem since.I just love the sound of a Les Paul! _________________ Dana Blodgett
