First of all let me say a big Thank You to
all who came. Your support and encouragement
mean a lot. There are so many to thank but
let me start by saying that I appreciate all
all the help from John Buffington, his info
and knowledge was unmeasureable. To the Board of Directors, Staff Band, and employees at the Radisson, Great Job guys!
To the players who put the time in to make
the show a success many, many, thanks.
Also a Thank You to the other volunteers
who helped in many small ways.
Just a reminder to our members that our next
monthly meeting will be July 16th. We will
pick a little and discuss the results of our
2006 convention. |

Marty....I thought you guys handled the show and the schedule very well. I believe we stayed on time better than ever and that is due in part to the volunteers who helped clear the stage and load in the next act. Rob Parker made an excellent EmCee ! ! !... he has that huge basso profundo projection and his diction is the very best as well as his knowledge of the songs and the players. I just thought he did an awesome job.
My compliments to the entire club.....you guys are INVOLVED and that is a big contribution to your success.
Thanks again for the very nice jackets. I appreciated receiving it. My hope is for continued growth for the popularity of the instrument and for these conventions. I always look forward to the fellowship and comaraderie. Now, go out and make it a good day. |

WOW...Just got home from Tulsa and what a great show. A great big "THANK YOU" to Marty Neer and all the staff of the O.S.G.A. for having me on the show again this year. We've been doing this show for many years and we hope to continue for many more. The O.S.G.A., staff band members, all the great players on the show, patrons of the show and hotel personnel made this a great weekend for Barbara and I and we are already looking forward to next year.
Last, but certainly not least, thanks to the O.S.G.A. for the beautiful "Oklahoma Steel Guitar Assoc." jacket that was presented to me...quite a surprise and I will wear it with pride.

I am back home, and I wish to thank all the members of the Oklahoma Steel Guitar Association for a barn burning show..I know they all worked very hard to present to the fans a great show..Kudos to them for their efforts, and I thank them for allowing me to be a small part of it..
Looking forward to next year, and it will be here before you known it...
Thanks to all the artists..you played superbly....and to the staff band..walk out on the stage , and try to play without those guys, and you will wonder where the "yellow" went..you were great...and tireless...my hat is off to all of you...
Peace and love to all of you, and a big round of applause to the audience...without you, we would just be playing for the band..Thank you for your support...

Annie and I had a great time, and wish to thank the other members of our OSGA club, but also to express our thanks to all those who came from elsewhere to join in our little event. We are a small club and without people from other clubs, we wouldn't be able to have much of a show. Let's not forget the looong hours put in by Ray Qualls
on the sound system either. Thanks Ray.

Mitzi and I made it home last night safe . We always enjoy the Tulsa show. Every one treets us like family and we really appreciate it. The show was top notch with a lot of new talent. It was very refreshing. And we got to visit with our friends a little too. It has been our pleasure to play the Tulsa show for many years now and it is actually a part of our lives. Thanks to Marty and all of the OSGA for their great effort to make this one one of the greatest shows in the buisness. Love to all,, Buck & Mitzi. Well, I'll be the first that was there but didn't play, to post my opinion. I thought the show was really great. Most of the players on the show are not professionals, but sometimes I get a little tired of hearing the same old songs played the same old way that most of the pro's play. I like to hear different songs and different styles, that keeps it a lot more interesting to me.
One of the highlights for me was DeWayne Bowman stealing Mark Giles' set with his imitation of Tony Bennett. If you missed this, you really missed something. Mark played a great set too, or actually two great sets.
Another highlight was Scotty Henderson's non-pedal set on Sunday. Only one thing would have made it better, if he had brought Jimmy Queen to play, sing, or whatever. I have a new Superslide coming in a few days, and if I can learn half of what Scotty was playing, I'll sound really good.
Anyway, keep up the good work guys.
PS, Dean Dobbins and Rob Parker did fine emceeing the show in Jody's place too, although it just didn't seem quite right without Jody there.

I would like to add my two cents.(
Jean & I had a great time and I also think the show ran as smooth as silk.
I would like to add that to my surprise, I was presented the OSGA President's award and a beautiful pocket watch & money clip.
Thank you so much guys. I don't know what I've done to deserve that but it is greatly appreciated.
I don't know when I've enjoyed playing behind anyone more than I did Curtiss Potter. When he sings, you want to play!!!
Thanks OSGA for giving me this opportunity.
We sure hope to see you again next year.
Thanks again,
John & Jean |

I too want to add my thanks to everyone who helped make the show possible! Without the fans and lovers of the steel guitar, there would not be "shows" anywhere! I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who had any part in making our show the success that is was. Our Texas. Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas folks and the rest that I cannot remember - Thank You for being with us. Larry King, John Terry, and Dewayne Bowman it doesn't get any better than that!!! And the Sunday Morning services were very special to me due to the fact it was a reunion with part of the Cornerstone sound back together along with my long, long time friend Jess French, that was truely a "Highlight" of my weekend, thanks to everyone who attended and to the association for allowing us the honor to minister the Gospel on Sunday morning.
