Here's something to stimulate your 'inner beatnik! I should have worn my black turtleneck and beret. Smile

This is a clip someone recorded last Saturday night at a gig I had with a guitarist/singer, and a friend of hers on hand percussion. I never played this with her before, but it's a simple enough tune to add color to. It's a cover of a song called "Missing," by Everything But The Girl.

I'm playing a Republic tricone (open D) with a Lace Ultra-Thin pickup I installed through a BOSS ME-25. I think I was using one of the VOX amp sims with a slight bit of gain on it, and BOSS delay set at around 500-600ms (I think)...

No amp -- just direct out into my BOSE L1 that we were all playing through. Sorry for the lack of light. It's a pretty low-light room, but the vibe is happenin'! Very Happy

Nice job, Todd! I have one of those Lace Ultra Slim pickups on my National tricone and am very happy with it, although I'm looking for a better amp than my Princeton Reverb (great amp for electric lap steel, not so good for acoustic).

Thanks, Brad! I love PR amps. I had a '72 that was amazing sounding, but alas... I sold it. Sad

For a really true acoustic sound, I use a condenser mic, but that's so rare that the Lace works for most gigs.
