My Dekley Slimline started making creaking noises on me through pedal A. I think I've isolated the source as the cross shaft bushing. These are "nylon" looking bushings with a flange towards the inside of the guitar and "capped" on the apron side of the guitar.

Does anybody have or know of a source for replacements? If one is bad, it's time to replace them all.

Thank you,

Tom Jordan

Tom, Those bushings are a bit different than today's ones. The size of the collar for one thing. I can't get them around here. In the US, I recommend you go to

Find a good hardware store, having their screw and fastener assortment in shelving with the pull out drawer bins full of little parts. I found the ones I needed for my Dekleys there.
Don't bother with Lowes, Home Depot, etc. It's likely gonna be a mom-and-pop outfit.

It might be worth trying a couple drops of oil before you take it apart.

Thank you guys for the link and the hardware store suggestion. We have an Ace Hardware store nearby and they usually have better quality stock than the "big box" stores...I'll give them a try.
