I've got an old Emmons pedal with just one output. Is there a split chord I can use to have two outputs? I've not had any luck at Sam Ash or Radio Shack as they just have a stereo type plug. I sold my Emmons pedal that had two outputs and wish I had it back now! |

Frank it's pretty easy to add a second out on a pedal. Drill a hole and mount a 1/4" jack. Then solder a wire to both positive outputs. No need to ground it as the pedal chasis does that. Real easy.

Instead of drilling a hole, why not just install a TRS/Stereo output jack? You can get the cord at Radio Crack. Or just make your own cord. |

The best adaptor in the business is right here:
http://www.ampridge.com/ This has special circuitry in it and also allows you to plug two guitars into one amp without the headaches of one guitar's volume affecting the other ones, which is common with a straight "Y" adaptor. If you're only going to use one on your steel to go to two different amps, then the regular HOSA Y cable would work fine...don't drill any extra holes in your guitar! BUT if you think you may want to use that adaptor to run two instruments into one input, then get the ampridge cable. You won't regret it. |

An A/B box with a "Both" switch works too. |
