I need to make the control plate for a body project I'm finishing. Does anyone have a piece or know where I can buy it? I need about 4" X 8", 24ga or thicker. I had the plate almost finished in copper but they want $40-50 to chrome it. I have aluminum sheet which I may have to use.

thanks, Ron

Ron you may want to try a small piece of stainless steel. It would polish up nice and stay pretty

Ron,

A convenient source for strong and excellent stainless steel is rectangular cooking spatulas. If you can't find a suitable size and shape at Walmart or the likes, then you would probably find one at a kitchen supply store albeit probably a bit more expensive there.
