I had a copy of Doug's "60 Songs", but somehow lost it; probabably discarded with some old magazines.
One song that I had not learned to play was "Georgia".
I had promised an elderly lady , who attends the weekly gospel sessions where I play, that I would learn it and play it for her. Georgia is her name.
I sent Doug an E-Mail explaining this , and he sent me a print-out of the song , along with a CD.
NO CHARGE!!! He didn't even ask for the postage, and he sent it in by Prioriority Mail.
I've dealt with Doug a couple of times, including one of his instruction books, about 20 years ago.
He's a good guy to do business with, and real gentleman.!!!

I second that! I was given his book of 60 songs with a guitar I bought and I asked Doug about the CD to go with it and he sent me one free of charge. What a class guy..............thanks Doug |

To say that Doug is a good "guy", is without a doubt the understatement of the day. His willingness to teach and assist, to my knowledge has no equal. That in part, is what I have to say about his lifestyle. He is indeed a powerful force in steel guitar activities. He possesses incredible versatility on the pedal steel guitar. |

Shortly after I purchased Doug`s pedal steel book, it saved my neck. It was a pending Christmas season gig and I needed a little education with "Winter Wonderland". Then at a later date I couldn`t find the book among my highly disorganized mountain of music etc. I had forgotten and put it in my ORGANIZED file.
Doug, have fun this Sunday, 3/29 in Webster, MA. You and I platoon gigs with Rachel. She probably flips a coin or says, "Let`s see, Do I want the handsome precision player from Northampton, MA or the short hacker from RI? |
