Our meeting today was a good one. Great pickin' and a great crowd. The teaching segment had to do with using scales to create entros, Solos and endings. The new players consisted of Jim Saunders- D10 Mullen, and Gene Sharp-S-12 Carter. Ya'll done good. In the Jam : Jody Sanders-D10 Pedalmaster, Gene Sharp-S12 Carter, Bobby Bowman-D10 Star, and Leon Miller-S12 Sierra, and Billy Phelps sat in on Jim's D10 Mullen. The band ; Billy and Elaine on drums, Patty and Billy on bass. Vocalists : Billy and Patty. One of our best vocalists,Bill Helm was unable to sing today due to a respiratory problem. This was Gene Sharp and Leom Miller's first time to pick with us . Glad to have you both with us. Come back any time. Our next meeting, June 4th will be at a new location. We will post the info at a later date. Thanks again to Billy and Patty Phelps for all they do to keep our club going. See you next time. Jody, Billy, and Patty.

Sorry I missed it, guys. I was sweating my tail off at a festival in Beaumont, TX trying to keep my steel in tune with high temps and humidity galore!

Hope to see ya'll next time...wish I could have heard my pals Gene S. and Jim S. pick today.

I was disappointed that I had to miss it? I had to make a run to Herne, Tx to check on the farm to see if there was any storm damage. Lucky not a lot happened, but couln't get back in time.
Hopefully, I can make next months fun and pickin'.

Jody C & Tommy, sorry you guys missed the meeting. I was undecided on playing Beethoven's 5th Symphony in Ab, or Heart of a Clown in G. At the last minute I went with Heart of a Clown, since the crowd seemed more country than not. Right!

Jim,
I tried Bethovens 5th one time, got so drunk I couldn't stand up!! Never did that again!
Glad you guys had a good time; maybe Jody C and I can come next time. Maybe we'll bring a different kind of 5th the next session.
