For the last eleven years that I've been playin' pedal steel, I've played two different steels, but those steels are nothin' like my new steel, my Jackson BlackJack Custom-my favorite steel guitar by my favorite steel guitar company. My friends at the Jackson Steel Guitar Company-David, Harry, and Dawn Jackson have built a wonderful steel for me that looks and sounds amazing and is so easy to play and the pedal action is very smooth and her sound and tone is incredible goin' from her Shot Jackson pickup to my Peavey Nashville 112 amplifier. To show how pretty this guitar is, I've nicknamed her "Black Diamond". She's been with me to two shows in Atlanta and in January, I played this guitar in church, and my friends there had never really heard or seen a steel guitar up close, so they got a chance to see and hear how beautiful the Jackson BlackJack Custom looks and sounds. She will be played at more shows and at my house too! So, to David, Harry, and Dawn Jackson, thank you for building my best and wonderful new pedal steel guitar!

Very cool Brett.
I went to the Jackson site.
I must have been in a cave-I had never made the connection to ShoBud...
Here's the cool thing-I just bought a ShoBud two weeks ago-a blond C6th from the early 70's.
To top it off- I went to the Jackson site and to the family section....the very first picture is of Shot holding a National Grand console and matching amp exactly like the first lap steel I bought 20 years ago...with the same amp!!!
This is the first time I've seen the two together besides the set I have. Mine are from 1947.
Made my day.
Thanks Brett,
Jay
