I think Sonny is my favorite slide guitar player. Awesome. And that Franklin guy ain't half shabby either.

A few months ago I dropped my coricidin bottle on a concrete stage, needles to say I found myself at a Guitar Center the next day hoping they had some sort of glass slides in stock.
I was surprised that they did, and while trying out a couple of them one of the sales guys comes over and asked me who my favorite slide player is. He started naming guys that may occasionally use a slide, but not who I would consider a slide player. I finely told him my favorite slide player was Sonny Landreth, and he said "WHO?"
I told him to go to youtube and look up Sonny Landreth doing "Zydeco Shuffle", that's all you need to know.

| You cost yourself some change when you dropped the Coricidin bottle. I wish I'd bought one every time I passed a drugstore in the early 70's - I'd be retired by now. There's one up on Ebay for $65, but it doesn't look right. Authentic ones can go for $150... Duane is surely rolling in his grave laughing. |
