Goodrich Steel Driver II problems

I recently picked up a Steel Driver II. I'm having problems with the volume cutting out for periods of time and just suddenly coming back on. I also get a bit of a wavy effect at times. Almost choursey. On the distortion side, I'm getting a lot of crackling. I put new batteries in it and sprayed it good with cleaner but to no avail. I like this unit when it's working.

Any of you had the same problem? Sad

Can I send it somewhere to be repaired? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have one and it does that if the batteries get down, even just one of them or a bad connection in them. I had to re solder my battery leads.
