For Your Information in case anybody is looking:
Real Guitars in San Francisco, California has a short scale Rickenbacher frying pan (Model A22 from what I can tell). They're asking $2,500.00 USD. The metal Rickey logo is missing from the headstock. There's a small amount of pitting on the aluminum face of the guitar, but the back and sides are in excellent condition. The guitar sounds great and plays beautifully. I couldn't say if the tuners are original or not, but they seem to work. I didn't see the condition of the case, but it was listed as a original hardshell case.

The one on e-bay looks like a post-war model, not one from the 30's, though.
Reasons: bakelite back plate, narrower horseshoe with Phillips head adjusters. |
