Any idea on how to increase the distance between the numeric and alpha symbols on the same line. For example, when inserting " 10 A ", the 'A' symbol appears tightly squeezed against the preceding number, making for difficult reading once printed out.
I've tried using different fonts, but the distance between the alpha and the preceding numeric still remains too tight.
I've also tried the web site....besides the normal FAQs, there's not anything referring to steel tab in particular. I did not see any other tab that uses the Alpha and numeric together, like in steel tab.
Any ideas..... Perhaps by using a text editor I could adjust that value, if I knew where to look for it.
Any Ideas, anyone??? _________________ 1970 P/P Emmons D10 flatback 8x5, BJS Bar, J F picks, Peavey Session 500, Telonics pedal. Boss GX700 effects.

Hello Nic,
Each bar is divided into, depending on your scale, 16 parts(default). This means that you can add up to 16/16 per bar.
The Pedal letter will be put on the next 1/16 pos and when you got a double digit fret it will be a small distance to the letter.
I have not found any way of changing this distance. It's constant if you change the scale, you just get smaller or larger bars.
You might ask some experts on TablEdit here

Nic,
in "working/editing mode", go to display and change the duration.
When printing try adjusting the scale and proportional spacing settings under Print Setup.
hope this helps. |

Michael,
You won't believe the how many permutations of print and display I've tried..... even using different font sizes.
I've joined their discussion group, and posted my question there. Let's see what happens.
Thanks for replying.
Anders, I do understand what you are saying.... tried all that.
Instead, I've joined their discussion group, and it will be interesting to see what reaction I get.
Thanks for trying to help. _________________ 1970 P/P Emmons D10 flatback 8x5, BJS Bar, J F picks, Peavey Session 500, Telonics pedal. Boss GX700 effects.

I'm pretty confident that you will get an answer.
If it's not possible you can ask the programmer, Matthieu Leschemelle, to add to the program.
At the moment he is fixing the fingerboard so it will handle pedals!

Hi Anders,
Stupid me...... I downloaded the latest Tabledit, and it looks like they've fixed the problem in this release. The printing (and display) is now much neater and easily legible. So, that was the answer to my problem.
It will teach me to check for updates in future!!
Thanks for your concern.....
Based on what you're saying, there will be another update in the pipeline, soon.
I'll keep a lookout for that. _________________ 1970 P/P Emmons D10 flatback 8x5, BJS Bar, J F picks, Peavey Session 500, Telonics pedal. Boss GX700 effects.

One of the new features are that every time you start TablEdit it checks if there is an update!
It doesn't do the update but you will get a message telling you that a new version is available!
