Museum of Making Music

Through March 2011- Terminal 2 West Baggage Claim, Post-security
This exhibit offers a glimpse into the beginnings of the Electric Sound Generation when innovative thinkers worked to harness electrical energy to produce sounds and tones in a variety of electric and electro-acoustic musical instruments. The desire to tame electric power led to the creation of many musical instruments, each with a voice that had never been heard before. The mission of the Museum of Making Music is to celebrate the rich history of the American music products industry from its beginnings in the 1890s to today and to encourage the future of music making.
