Gerry Andal made a name for himself and his car dealership in the 1970s by sponsering a TV show called Country Northwest on which I appeared for almost 3 years. He also operated a string of Country Music nightclubs throughout the Northwest from about 1975 until his sudden death last Friday. Many of us in the Seattle area knew him and played in his band over the years. His passing leaves a hole in the country scene. No matter what you thought of him, he did his part for Country Music and more importantly, live Country Music. He will be missed.

I played on an album Gerry did in the 1970's. I remember him as a very nice guy and a joy to work with. Sorry to hear of his passing.
