Please bear three things in mind.
1- The restaurant is giving us the use of it's banquet room for free, but they expect us all to order our meals from them. If this works out well for them, this will become an annual event. Please don't bring any food from the outside.
2- The Parking lot is extremely small. The restaurant's owner has asked that after we unload our gear, we all move our cars and park on the street.
3- The room itself doesn't have a lot of AC outlets. If you have a spare power strip(s) please bring it/them.

Oh well, sooner or later I'll make it to one of these get-togethers... have a great time.

So all info is one place:
the Los Angeles Perl Jam is this Saturday, April 29, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Restaurant opens for us early at 9 a.m. for setting up.
One new wrinkle: we're going to try adding an educational segment where anyone who wants to can have the mic and share a lick, knee lever use, musical idea, marguerita recipe, whatever.
We should have the BIAB charts displayed on the wall and a plasma screen, too, that was a popular new feature last year.
See y'all there!

I may share my super secret method of imitating bagpipes on C6. That's always very handy.

inevitably, somebody will ask about my wrist lever.
I will tell them that you play it with your wrist.

Well, isn't it so that, every once in a while, one has to 'wrist' back control from the forces of steel evil? |

Yes David, he did. The guitar in the picture is currenrtly at the MSA factory, so Kyle and Johnny can figure out what Tom did and duplicate it. (I'll be bringing my other one to the jam.)
Once they get it down, they will be able to install wrist levers on other guitars, including retrofitting already existing Millenniums and legends.
Everybody is skeptical about the wrist lever until they try it. I was too, but as soon as I had a chance to play a guitar that had one, I immediately knew I wanted one.

Always made perfect sense to me. I made one that worked by pressing downward.... worked fine, but was a pain packing up so I took if off after a few gigs.... this is a much better approach. Tom's contibutions to steelers everywhere are too numerous to mention.
Have a great Jam, I'll be wishing I was there.
