Years and years ago, I got a hold of a tape of the Concrete Cowboy Band that, as I recall, had Hal Rugg on steel. Who else was in that band and what's the story on that group? I got the impression they were a studio pickers' band. Had a few great women lead singers as I remember too...

According to the back-cover notes on the LP:

JIM.....
I just asked Hals daughter (Tammy) about any work he might have done with the "Concrete Cowboys". She was not aware of any .
GOOGLE ? ...... don't know , sorry !

So, does anyone know the back-story about this grouping? Did they stay together for any length of time and play any gigs, or did they throw it together for just this one recording and then were done? Judging from the personnel, I imagine they all had pretty busy individual careers going at the time...
