hello fellow forumites, i was wondering if anyone can help with somthing thats been bothering me. in the B.B.video (if i said you had a beautiful body)how the heck does the lap steel player get such a great pedal steel sound and tone?, it sounds amazing, does he feed it though some kind of effect unit, i would love to get that sound, also doe's anyone know what amp he used. thanks Patrick. |

Got a link to the video? The original recording was pedal steel. Sometimes the videos are deceiving. The instruments shown may not be the actual types used on a recording. |

Yeah Patrick, that video appears to be shot just for visual effect with the vocals and music from the original cut played over it. Nothing's actually happening in the video. The steel sound is not coming from that lap steel.

I'm sure it's pedal steel on the record, but I can't remember who recorded it. Someone here probably does though. Maybe Danny Jones? He was with them for a long time but passed away a few years back. |
