Excellent video Chip. Al Perkins added so much to Manassas's sound.

I can't view this from work but if it's the one I think it is, you can get the entire show on DVD.

Also if you're an AL Perkins fan there is a DVD out recently of a Gram Parsons tribute. Al plays the Annepeg keyless and does some smokin' lap steel, and it features one of our forum buddies on keyboards!

Al was a big part of the Manassas sound and a huge influence on my starting into PSG .

Manassas was on a tour through Europe, when this was recorded. I've seen them play at the JahrhundertHalle in Frankfurt. Can't remember which year.

Chip, If you like Manasas alot, this is a link to a CD I bought last summer at the CS&N show that came to town. It is very good, the reviews are helpful on Amazon. I really like having a few extra songs to hear since they were around for such a short time. There are good liner notes inside also.

Plus, It's got lots of great Al Perkins on it.

To me, Al Perkins's was really at a creative peak between his work with Manassas and his contributions to Gram Parson's "Return of the Grevious Angel". What an incredible player to this day...Mike Daly

More cowbell, Greg Brady!...seriously Manassas was a big influence on me. The first (double LP)album is still my all time favorite.

Saw the Souther-Hillman-Furay band many moons ago, and Al was fantastic on pedal steel and lead guitar. I've been a big fan since Last of the Red Hot Burritos.
