| I have trouble getting an even throw on current issue pots, tho I prefer that sound sometimes; volume seems to increase quicker toward the "loud" portion. Electronic pedals seem to have a more evenness... True for everyone? |

| I never really had a problem with pot volume pedals. But, with the deterioration of the quality of available pots and the potential mechanical failures (e.g. the string) I've moved on to a Hilton and haven't looked back. |

NO Pots for me except as a spare pedal, which I have never needed since buying a _______ .
I deleted the brand name because it doesn't matter..

| I like a pot pedal when going into an all SS amp, only because it won the sound test in my living room. But mostly I use an electronic pedal because of the perfect action, evenness, and it seems to tame some of the high pitched harmonics that can come from a steel guitar into a tube amp. |

| I have three pot pedals and since finding the Dunlop 470K pots to be adequate and having several spare pots on hand I am still using a pot pedal. Replacing a pot for me is an easy job and I am satisfied with my tone. All that said, I still want a Hilton pedal, and dang it I'm gonna break down and buy one one of these days! |

AMEN to what Jack said. Tip... for you fellows that think the Hilton is too sterile sounding. Turn the tone control to the left just a tad (makes the pedal more bass sounding). Go to the amplifier and add treble. Voila.... Very close to the pot sound, IMO |

| Pot pedals are inexpensive, last forever(not the pots) and the Emmons vp(and it's copies)clamp on to the pedal bar and stay with the guitar(as Buddy wanted and designed it to!)They're cheap enough to own a backup and require less setup time...I'm a believer in KISS(keep it simple)ie: Carter, pot pedal, Nashville400.. |

| andy, no pot for me. i will take the extra set up time vs. changing strings, pots, adjustments, etc. plus it lets my guitar sound like it's supposed to. changed over years ago and have never looked back. of course, like previously posted...to each his own. |
