I bought this guitar from George Piburn (Georgeboards) new in 2008. Soon after I got the stealth I found a used Georgeboards D8 and purchased it. Since that time the stealth has been in the closet in it's gig bag. The guitar has never been out of my house and is near mint . There are no scratches or dings except one small scratch on one leg. In 2008 these were hand made. I paid $800 for the guitar and another $250 for George to add the legs. I am asking $675 shipped in the CONUS for the guitar , legs, and gig bag. Note: in some of the pictures the left side of the neck appears to have scratches but these are just slight indentations in the wood that reflect light. The sides of the Georgeboard are not mirror smooth like the top and reflect light through the camera.

I have an identical guitar minus the legs and I can tell you they sound great. I'm very happy with mine.

Absolutely, its a great quality steel at a very good price.
I actually think that learning on a better quality steel is an advantage if you can afford it. Nothing worse than trying to make due with a poorly setup and uninspiring instrument.

The tuning on the stealth guitar is C6. There is a lot of instruction material for the C6 tuning. Of course it can be tuned to any tuning but would in most cases need new strings.

The stealth weighs 8 pounds with the legs attached. Much less without the legs.

Hello from George MR.Boards, Jim is a great Supporter of GB's, it is with great pleasure we offer some additional information.

The Insurance Value on this Instrument is 1500.00 US Dollars.

It has our Deluxe Tuners and our original Lindy Fralin/GeorgeBoards Super Sonic S8 Single-Coil Copper shielded Pickup, Blackened KOA Top Parts.

Jim is taking a tremendous loss on this well kept near mint condition Collectible Instrument. It is an instant collectors item, that will allow you to play your best. There should be a Certificate of Authenticity, Jim can sign it over to the next owner to maintain it's provenance - adding yet more value to it.

Jump Quick - this is the lowest price I've ever seen for one of these. Cool

If I were looking for a "best buy" for the money lap steel I would be all over this. Fortunately I'm collaborating with Mr. Pettingill on one of his masterpieces and that's the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on this one.

I ordered a great case through George for my Stealth and am very happy with it. It couldn't be difficult to create/modify one to accomodate the legs. I don't remember the price, but think it was in the $250 range. I'm sure George will comment.
