Dickie,

Raising the first F# provides a lot of major seventh harmony possibilities with the G# raised to A as the root note of the chord.....I would never lower the G# to F# on the same lever because it eliminates so many options with the 6th and first string....In this case combining changes brings about diminishing returns....Not to mention how important it is to use the 2nd string raise with the G#'s both raised and without........Paul
