Available around mid March 2011.
My newest "self penned" CD "Old School Survivor" features Mike Johnson on Steel Guitar and Larry Franklin on Fiddle. For those of you not familar with Larry Franklin, he plays Fiddle on all of Alan Jacksons stuff these days.

This is great! Can't wait 'till mid-March.
I had the chance to record with Larry Franklin during his Asleep at the Wheel days in the middle 80s.
We recorded some demos in a small studio on the west side of Houston. I had the opportunity to play steel and bass guitar. It took me about twenty takes to get it right. Larry laid it all down in one take, then asked if we wanted harmony parts on the fiddle parts. Amazing!
He's not only a great fiddle player but an excellent mandolin and six string guitar player, as well. Did he show you the black Les Paul that Willie Nelson gave him?

WC, superb voice! You are kick-butt, hard-core country. You kinda sound like Paycheck and kinda look like Ted Nugent, but you are your own man.
I don't know who did the guitar work, but only a Mike Johnson or Paul could keep up with that! Mike never runs out of ideas and the C6 thing he did on Track 8 is just clever. That is why Mike is a steel guitar hero!
You know, I played the clip backwards and I sobered up, I embraced corporate radio, got in touch with my sensitive side and bought some Rascal Flatts CDs, and became a house husband!  (Only kidding, of course)
One of the best voices to come around in a long time! |

Looking forward to your new CD.
It has the hard core honky tonk style of real country music I love.
You are a very good song writer & should make it on that alone. But you are also a great singer & entertainer & I hope to see you make it.
If you ever make it down around here, I will come to see your show if I am not playing on that night.
