Is your up lever too short? Does it suffer a surfeit of unparallelitude to the floor? Free knee levers are available at nearly every place that sells paint:

Hey EB, that's a fine example of the engineering expertise of the old SoCal bunch! Thanks for posting that.......JH in Va. (formerly of SoCal for a short 45 years!)

That must have been engineered by the same guy that designed Dave Easley's "knee string". Smile

I'm pretty sure that with some yo-yo string and a couple of marionettes you could have quite a show goin' on! Laughing

But seriously - does that raise either, or also both with one knee?? In which case, you just might have something there, Rufus.

This is actually my first try at a full 6 lever cluster on the left knee. Primary levers are further in, and I pull away for the secondary levers.
No, I wouldn't use both up levers at the same time. If that were possible, then I couldn't use them independently. I need to be able to use each lever alone, and in some combinations of vertical with right/left.

Obviously there is not much room to work with in the vertical direction. I have to get full movement of the primary (paint-stick) lever without moving the secondary lever that is closer to me. That may be possible, but if the levers aren't horizontal and I move right or left to use another lever at the same time, I'll hit one that I want to miss on the end where it hangs low. Or I'll miss one that I want to hit at the other end. That's why I'm trying different lever options with the paint sticks. Eventually when I get the positions worked out I will go with something more permanent (i.e. less country). Maybe the primary up lever's hinge should run from right to left for example. But probably just a new lever shape would work fine on the existing hardware. It would probably have to slide off so I can get it in the case. I could also use a new lever shape on the secondary lever.

BTW the guitar is a modified Zum. I took it to the Mexican restaurant last night and I thought it sounded really good, even without a Little Walter amp.
