Charlie Louvin is the guest on this weekend's Marty Stuart Show. We are in the UK on tour, and were saddened by the news of Charlie's passing. What's weird is his episode with us was already slated for Saturday Jan. 29. This is his last TV appearance, and he really was a "trouper" that day. Our prayers go out to his family. He was a GREAT one. We will all miss him terribly. |

It was a very touching show Paul. Really did enjoy it. Sure wish Marty's show could have picked up the extra half hour as did Larry's Country Diner. |

DVR'ed a bunch of shows off RFD network and watched them Sunday. Marty's show that Paul mentioned with Charlie Louvin was first, then a Wilburn brothers circa '67 with George Jones, Tammy Wynette, and Loretta Lynn. Plus Hal Rugg with some fantastic work. Then a Porter Wagonner of the same vintage with Conway Twitty and of course Dolly.
It took me a couple of hours to emotionally recover. |
