Looks like a real early Wright Custom Quad on that 1st video. I think Jimmy played a Wright for awhile.

My eyes are not as good as they once were, but it looked like it said Wright Custom on the front. It sounds like one.

Because the borrowed Bigsby has no name on the apron, and with the apparent the pedal arrangement, it is likely to be the Buddie Emmons Bigsby, however, it could be that it could be that of Connie Conrad.

It is a Wright Custom probably around 1959. Chuck made covers that fit over the strings behind the Nuts which you can briefly see. I had one just like it for about a year but lost it in a Fire that burned up the Jubilee Dance Hall in Baldwin Park, Ca. Chuck's price for the Guitar at that time was
$600.00 including the Case. |

It is A Wright for sure, Day recorded Crazy Arms with this guitar with ray....

I never played them, was just a kid in them days  there is some still around, Barbara's, is in her Hall of Fame, it was a 4 neck.. Wright he built for her at the age of 12...

I remember Barbara's Wright Steel Guitar when she was twelve. When her Dad brought her to Cal's Corral TV show at the upstairs Huntington Park, Ca. Ballroom. Any of us that were around would volunteer to get her Guitar up the outside steps in the rear by the parking lot. This was when I decided to get a Wright just like she played. It would be my first Pedal Steel Guitar. |

I found my old snapshot of Buddie (before Buddy) Emmons playing his Bigsby with the skirt in place. This photo shows why the Buddie Emmons name is not on the front apron where you most often find an owner's name.
The photo, which I did not take, is dated April 1958, however, that may be the date the film was developed, not when the photo was taken.
