1st off I would like to thank the following steel players for having me on their sets, and tell them how much it meant to me to perform with them.
Jonathan Candler, Jody Cameron, Curt Shoemaker, Lynn Owsley, Ralph Mooney, and Mike Sigler.

I would also like to thank the GFI people for the great Jam session with Mike Sigler on Sunday morning, it was fun.

Donna Dodd you are a great dancer, and for you folks that were there, you got to see Donna and I Disco dance to Tommy's last song, it was GREAT FUN. I hope that someone took a picture and can post it here.

It was great to finally meet some of the folks from the Steel Chat Room also, you all are Family.

Linda and I also went down to Ft. Worth on Sunday afternoon to the Curtis Potter benefit at Pearl's Dancehall with our friends Bud and Renee Frey, we had great time and saw some great Texas acts like, Bobby Flores, Billy Keeble, Noel Haggard, and our very own Chuck Cusimano was tearing it up on the Telecaster.

Last but certainly not least, I would love to Thank my beautiful wife Linda, and Curt Shoemaker's better half Dixie for watching the booth for so many hours, you are the Best.

Now tell us all what you liked in Texas, and what you did???

Noel Haggard? In Texas? I always thought Noel could sing a song as good as anyone. I haven't seen or heard him for many years.
Is he living in Texas now? Where

This was my first time to the Texas Show, yes it was super.
I like the idea of no smoke and booze in the concert hall!
People at the show where very courteous and friendly. We also toured a couple other Dallas attractions. And were treated very well! Had a great Texas Vacation

I almost fainted when John Travolta (AKA Red Kilby) unbuttoned his shirt and twirled me around and around in front of Tommy playing “Dance with me.” I swear I used to Disco all night long in the 70’s and never even break a sweat! BUT the funniest thing of all was when Red sat back down after we danced – and his phone rang. It was Linda calling him from the back of the room asking, “What was THAT all about?”

Another highlight (among MANY) was spending quality time with my friends from Australia, Tony and Lyn Davis. It’s such an honor when our international friends visit us in America! They even presented me with some genuine Roo-Poo. I haven’t tasted it yet, but I’m sure it will be ummmmmmmmmmm good!!!!

Great, Great memories from an awesome show that will be cherished a lifetime!!!

Thanks TSGA!!!!

It was good seeing you Red. Sorry I didn't get the time to visit in person, and sorry if I woke you up when I called your Cell phone Monday morning. Have you had your coffee yet? Come back to Texas, and record another album......I got a bunch of shuffles.

Here's hoping next year we will all be able to fly Southwest into Dallas instead of American.

If I never fly American again it will be too soon.

HI Red, enjoyed your singing at Dallas. You da man. You should have come up to RM# 842 on Friday night. The Moon and a friend came up. Said that the room they they had been in, everyone got evicted, so they came to 842. He was joking of course. Well maybe not too much...Vegas(Gary Watson),Kenny Morris and Lynn Owsley were partying in there amongst several other well knowns Anyway we had a grand time and I showed Mooney all my Mooney licks until about 2:30 AM.

I had a great time, as did my girlfriend. Seeing my new MSA, seeing old and new steel guitar friends, being asked to play behind each of "the Wright Bros." and getting to hear so much fine steeling was well worth the trip. Getting to hear Tom Morrell again was a thrill as well as a lesson, as Merle Record can confirm. We'll be back for sure,
