I bought a used Steel Driver through the Forum and I wondered if it drains the batteries if you keep it plugged in, as is the case with a lot of pedal effects.

Yes it will. Connecting the cable is what connects the battery and turns it on. They use a tip ring sleeve jack and the mono instrument cable connects ring and sleeve when you plug it in to connect the batteries, so to save the battery unhook the cable when not in use.

Gerry, I am almost as far East as you can go in NC and you are almost as far West as you can go.
