We had the distinct pleasure of seeing Vince's show in San Antonio last night. We had great "humbler" seats for musicians (fourth row, halfway between Vince and Paul).
It was marvelous! It was so refreshing to see a show that was solely focused upon great songs and great musicianship. (OK, and a little comedy too. Vince is one funny guy!).
Paul was killin', and we got to visit with him after the show. It had been years since I had seen him in person and he was so gracious to all of us!
Special thanks to the incredible Tom Britt (A.K.A."If you play guitar for Vince Gill I reckon you gotta be a monster too!") for the great seats and great time!
Paul, if you see this, the song I was trying to remember was "Holding Things Together"....
Yesterday was certainly a bitterweet day, beginning with the news of the passing of Buddy Charleton. Thanks to Vince and Paul and the rest of the incredible band for lifting my spirits! _________________ Tommy Detamore
