Wanted, any condition. I'll take whatever other long scale (26") Stringmaster parts are available.
Fretboard/bridge/nut etc.

or e-mail/PM me..

I'm looking to convert my twin 8 into a triple 8 or quad, utilitarian finish, as it will be a player guitar not a museum piece.

But you'll need necks from the 3rd and 4th position, otherwise they won't be deep enough.

Not necessarily so Alan, I could always laminate a section of the correct depth onto them.. After all, the joint is going hidden by the paint.
I have sourced some Swamp Ash HERE
Right on my doorstep.

How long is your Stringmaster? I bought the stripped-down body(only) of a two-necked Stringmaster (32" long) about a year ago with the idea that some day I would put together a complete Stringmaster, but it would take years to put all the parts together, and I have too many projects before I get to it, anyway, not the least of which is a Sho-Bud Fingertip copy that a luthier was building years ago and never finished. Oh Well

I bought some Stringmaster parts a few years ago and the seller threw in the neck.
This is what I came up with. It is more complete than what the pictures are showing.

Erv, that's the third or forth neck of a long scale triple or quad.. How thick is it ?

If it's approximately 2-7/8" it's neck three, if it's 3-3/8" it's neck four..

26" scale (determined by the number of blocks on the fretboard AFTER the 24th.)
The "Lollypop" tuners place it as a Mk1 (if there is such a designation.)

Also those original stringmasters had a MUCH narrower string spacing 2-1/2" in total, consequently a normal replacement stringmaster pickup as made by the pickup guru's now, won't fit the spacing.
The magnets/polepieces will be out of line with the strings.

This neck is the 26" scale but it isn't standard thickness. The bottom of the neck had some slots cut into it so I had to run it over a power plane to even it up. It had provision for two legs so I routed out a place for a third leg in the middle.

I've got a whole D8, 26" scale in cosmetically challenged but working condition. $1000 + actual shipping. Let me know if you'd like to see pics. I'll take paypal if you cover the fee.

I sent those plus another two, making a complete four-necked set, to Basil a few months back. He's building a four-neck Stringmaster from parts.
I'll be over in England to see how he's getting on with it some time in the new year.
