Chuck here's what J. Kettner from germany sent me a while back ala the great Neil Flanz (Gram Parsons+Fallen Angels) I think this was in the key of C.

1st fret, string 5+6 A+B pedals

4th fret, string 5+6 A pedal

6th fret, strings 5+6 no pedals

8th fret, strings 5+6 no pedals

8th fret, strings 5+6 with A+B pedaled in

Try the intro in by starting in the first fret open position, then BC pedals down position, and use the same pattern on the next string group. Less moving around that way - the tune is in F I believe.

I'm sorry, Ralph is right, I believe this song is in "F"- it's been a while since I've played this. Although if you google the tabs or lyrics most versions come up in the key of "C". Gram did have kind of a low gravely voice at times. He did record songs in different keys ,unlike some who always recorded in say "G". He was one of my all time favorite artists. It is too bad he died so young.I view him as a true pioneer into "Country Rock" although he hated that term.
