I saw a tray that attached to the leg of a steel at one of the booths in Dallas. I was gonna go back and get it and forgot about it till I got home and sat down to play. The rack looked to have an ashtray and a drink holder on it. Any idea who had it for sale?????

Thanks

Jeff

Jeff I belive it was the good folks at Carter.
(Dont tell but I passed it at least 50 times going outside to smoke)
Pretty good idea I think. Jeff I forgot to ask how you like your new Sho-Bud you got for your b-day? What a cool horn.

Thanks Jon but that is not the one I saw at the show. You can bet you ##$ it sure would work. This thing I saw actually had what I thought was an ashtray and drink holder. I know ASHTRAY is a dirty word here, but I have the habbit bad. Who know's, maybe I dreamed it.

Justin, next to my ZUMSTEEL it's the best horn I've ever had. I wouldn't part with it at all. I'm considering having another lever put on it. If I decide to do it, it will go to Bobbe in Nashville for the addition. I want only original parts installed by the best. Not saying there are not many great people who could do the work, just that I prefer Bobbe to do it.

Thanks I'm still looking for that damn ashtry.

I wasn't at the show but I have a couple of these items. Mine are made by QwikStix of Nashua New Hampshire (www.qwikstix.com). One has a cup holder (also fits a large water bottle) plus a place for picks, tuning wrench and 2 bars. It is extremenly well made and incldues a teflon coated screw so your steel leg doesn't get scratched up when you tighten it up. Made of high quality powder coated aluminum. The other one I have is just a tray set at an angle to hold my tuner and metronome or tape recorder.

I got these for Christmas from the wife who went to the manufacturing facility to pick them up. The owners were great and run a really slick clean mahine shop. Great guys to deal with.

I think Bobbe stocks them also.

I just received that one in today's mail.

As you say, the quality is first-rate. It's feels good in your hand. That being said, I must add that the first thing I noticed was that there was no way I could fit it to the leg of my '05 Millennium M3. Just would not fit, either by sliding it down from the top of the leg, or going sidewise. No dice.

So, I took off a little metal to make it fit. The image shows where I removed material. The leg diameter on my MSA is exactly 1". I don't know if other guitar legs are different. I've repainted it, and it now looks like new.

I like the piece very much. It will do what I wanted it to do. My only other comment would be that the tray on it is designed for picks, not as an ashtray, although one could conceivably use it for such.
