January 18th, my quintet is opening at 8pm at my birthday party that will feature lots of great music including fellow forum steeler Tim Walker and his band MINIBAR!
here are the details - hope to see ya!
"There is a special day in every young boy's life and I would like to invite YOU to come celebrate this day with me - I'm turning 39!!!!!!!!!!
Come chill and get thoroughly entertained by some of my favorite bands at an amazing club!
*The legendary 'MINIBAR' will play a full electric set!
*HANG DOG EXPRESSION' will coax out some of the nicest sounding bluegrass you can imagine!
Of course, seeing how I like to play too:
*the JOEL MARTIN QUINTET' will swing you around with some pedal-steel jazz and
*BRIGHT PAPER WEREWOLVES' will pummel you with a set of 'Guided By Voices' music.
We'll have more special announcements in the coming weeks but just know that it will be a fun night.
IF YOU GO TO ONE PARTY ON JANUARY 18th, MAKE THIS THE PARTY!!!!
NO PRESENTS but we'll have a $5 cover so the brilliant musicians will get a little coin - Zach from BPW is flying down from Canada fer crying out loud!!!
