I play a standard C6th setup. I play Day on the E9th, but not not because of any preference for direction of movement, simply because I copied Marvin Hudson's setup when I was learning pedals.

| Nope. My C6th. pedals are the normal line -up with the exception of the 8th. pedal. I moved the normal function of the 8th. pedal to my left knee right. My 8th. pedal was then freed up to use for raising strings 3 and 7 to C#. I can easily switch back and forth from the 5th. pedal and left knee right. I'll let someone else explain the cool changes you can get by raising 3 and 7 along with pedal 5. Or, without pedal 5.... Tommy.......... |

My pedals are standard, but I lower my 3rd (C) with L(middle)KL and raise it (along with the 7th string) with my L(M)KR. That gives me a correlation with my 'Day' E9 tuning as that's similar to lowering and raising the 4th (E) with the 'F' lever on E9.
It helps me feel familiar, anyway, whether it's logical or not.

I have a strange C6th setup. But the main pedals are not backwards. I do have pedals 7 & 8 upon knee levers. My setup is:

So basically pedal 4 is now on my LKR but only on string 4. Pedal 8 is on LKL. Pedal 7 is on RKR. Standard pedals 5 & 6 are on my pedals 6 & 7.
