Jeff Newman did this in E9 back in the day as part of a 3-pedal, 1 knee-lever 2-disc gospel/country set.
But check Emmons Guitar Co. C6 instruction - I think it was Doug Jernigan. |

Kenny, Greg Cutshaw has it in C on his website! I've always played it in E like the Texas Troubadours...JS |

...a few years ago our fiddle player (!) called Panhandle Rag as an instrumental...in "A" no less.
I hadn't played the tune in years, but I had to go along (didn't I?).
I used to play it in "C", so I knew I was going to struggle. I improvised and just let it all hang out. As it turns out, PHR lays so beautifully on the C6th tuning in "A" that I couldn't believe it.
The first line is played at the 9th fret...then, the second line is played in the Jeff Newman 'snake' pattern at frets 3, 2 and 0. Try it.
I put it on my own CD and can send you an audio clip of it if that will help. Send me your e-mail address.
Let me know.
