That album was recorded in Nashville in the 1960's...it features the song, 'Hitch Hiking', which was recorded in 1964. Does anyone here know who played steel on it? Thanks.

As far as I can tell Dick is still around and presumably living in Bentley, Alberta. If he can't tell you I can't imagine anyone who could.

From my 2002 archives:

"There is a treasure trove of Dick Damron tracks available on mp3.com. A total of 6 CD's - all $10.99 and under. Included are Rockabilly Blues and Starday Sessions 61/63 (my favourite featuring the whole Starday stable of musicians with flying steel by Pete Drake). I don't recall any of the Starday stuff being issued (at least on LP)."

I just checked mp3.com and found nothing under his name. Apparently the stuff referred to above is no longer available there.

His address a few years back was PO Box 270 in Bentley.
