For sale is a Hipshot Trilogy TMB5 for use with 6 string acoustic resonator guitars.
Price is $115 (obo) shipped to lower 48.
I purchased this one new direct from hipshot about 4 years ago. It worked wonderfully with my Beard Vintage resonator. I just found that one or two tunings is plenty for me, and I don't have a use for this bridge anymore.
I think that the description from the hipshot website is helpful: "...Each string is independent of adjacent strings. (Tuning ranges of the 6th and 5th strings are approximately an octave; the 4th and 3rd strings are over a fifth; the 2nd string is approximately a fourth; and the 1st string is over a minor third.) "
As you can see in the pictures, there is some normal wear -- scratches and such -- but bridge is otherwise in good shape. The hole cut in the endplate will accomodate a typical 1/4' jack.
If you have any questions about this bridge, please let me know.
Thanks for looking.

Mike, or Rene, can you tell me exactly how this thing works? I play a G tuning most all the time.
If I wanted to go from a G to a D or an E tuning, will this thing do that, and how long does it take to make the change? Does it require any drilling in a resonator? What about string gauges? Do you have to use certain gauges of strings? Thanks

Terry ... This is what I do...If you look at the top picture, you'll see the levers. Under the levers are 2 adjustable stops. When you pull the lever "back" on, say, the low G, to the first stop, it'll bring you 3 frets down to E. You can fine tune with allen wrench. The next string, low B, you leave it, because we're gonna tune E,B,E,G#,B,E...low to high. The next string,D,is already going to have the lever back to the first stop, tuned to D.You will push the lever "forward "this time all the way down, which will raise the D to E & so on...It's easy & fun BUT !!! if you have a cheaper guitar, that B string that you didn't touch earlier will go flat when you raise that D to E...My buddy has a $3000 guitar & it doesn't go flat a bit. MIne is a $1200 Wechtor Scheerhorn & goes flat a little, so I have to re-adjust. I tried this hipshot on a $300 resonator roundneck, & no way would it work. Now if you want to tune your guitar to D, say D,A,D,F#,A,D, low to high, lower that first lever all the way "back" 2 more frets to low D, & so on...Hope that helps...Rene _________________ Franklin #130, Melobar Skreemer, Wechter Scheerhorn Resonator, Nashville 112, Boss DD 3 |

Thanks for the info Rene. I have a Robe Ickes W/S so I'd probly be having to fine tune to. Anyways, I play a G tuning bout 90% of the time, and I have an old 6 string I bought a nut extender for, and keep it tuned to E for Boogie-Woogie stuff. Thanks again.
