Topic: Like to try a Rittenberry |

I'm in the market for a new D-10 and would like to try out a Rittenberry. My Friend Scott Truax has one but he lives in Florida. I live in Northern New England, Waterbury VT and would like to drive a reasonable way if it was possible. Anyone have a Rittenberry that would be willing to let me pick one or two on it? Three of four hours driving time would not be out of the question.

George,
A student of mine has a single ten, double body Ritt that I am sure your could try, I don't know how far we are from you. You can also try a Zum and a
Williams at the same time if you wish.

Brad,
I do not own the Ritt, but I have played it while it was in my shop.
I own the Zum and the Williams, and the Zum is the easiest playing of the two guitars. It is effortless to play, but has very stable mechanics none the less. I also like the tone of the Zum, but it is a little different from the Williams because I have a single coil pickup on the Zum and a Humbucker on the Williams. I like both guitars a lot, and the Williams is beautiful with its lacquer finish. But If I could only keep one, it would be the Zum...
The Rittenberry is also a very well built guitar and plays nicely and has a good tone.
I have owned over the years MSA, BMI, Carter,
Exel, and Cougar guitars, and the Zum is my favorite
of all time. The Williams is beautiful, rock solid,
and well built and engineered. It stays set up in my shop and I play it for awhile almost every day.
The Zum goes to the gigs and sits in its case most of the time... |

| Here we go folks. Everyone has a favorite steel that they love. I have been playing a Rittenberry Steel for five years now, and never had a problem with it. It stays in tune and sounds great. I ordered a second one. I have played all the brands and will never change again. Check one out. I think you will like it. |

| George I have own several used ones and two new ones The latest one I have no intentions of selling, and I will tell you after playing and listening to the fantastic tone of those Rittenberry steels, you will be hookled my friend. So if you get a chance to try one then by all means jump on it . Gary is a master builder and great person to deal with. |

Exactly what Dennis said - they are amazing sounding instruments. I am addicted to my D-10 and don't hardly play my other guitars. Gary is indeed a Master Builder!

George, Just buy one and join the club, You won't regret it. Problem is when you get it you'll love it so much you won't want to play your Banjo anymore.
