Twin Sisters Hall, south of Blanco TX, with the Tom Teboe Band, an uber-traditional Texas fiddle/steel band. Former Johnny Bush and Billy Mata players backing up a young (36) picker/singer who knows the right material and delivers the goods.
The most excellent Ron Knuth will be with us on fiddle, always a blast! _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

I am playing with a gospel group now. Born Again will be playing a church event. I hope I miss, a drink spilled on my guitar. Bass player fell off stage. In 2004 Band Leader got drunk and made a spectacle out of himself. Hope it is a nice quiet night. Happy Steelin and a safe trip home from your gigs. |

I'll be playing 99% pedal steel and 1% guitar at the Brunswick Barbecue and Brew with the Hill Hollow Band. Cropseyville, NY. Eight-piece band (six good singers, lots of harmonies, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, acoustic guitar, bass, dobro, accordion, pedal steel, and horns) with several special guests; should be a wonderful time. (Seven out of eight of us drink, but none of us ever drinks too much or takes chances driving home...) _________________ I give music lessons on several different instruments in Cambridge, NY (between Bennington, VT and Albany, NY). But my true love is pedal steel. I've been obsessed with steel since 1972; don't know anything I'd rather talk about... www.barryhyman.com |
