The line inside my Sho Bud volume pedal broke - does anyone know what type of line to replace it with? It looks alot like fly fishing line - which I happen to have alot of as it is my other passion. |

I use old Leonard Transpar silk fly line because it does not stretch. You could also use Sue Burgess line, because it does not stretch, or the heaviest dacron backing you can find -- not for strength, but for diameter. _________________ Chris Lucker

Speaking of fly fishing line choices for a volume pedal string, I use old Leonard Transpar silk fly line because it does not stretch. You could also use new Sue Burgess running line, because it does not stretch, or the heaviest dacron backing you can find -- not for strength, but for diameter. _________________ Chris Lucker

Here's a good way to install the line, might be useful to someone:

That is sure flyline. Looks like old Cortland 333 or Sunset, or new Rio, but I doubt the Rio, although that is all a Rio flyline would be good for. _________________ Chris Lucker

James,
Thanks for the pictures. They help explain the reason why some things are reversed. I appreciate it as well as the correct way to install the string. _________________ The only thing better than doing what you love is having someone that loves you enough to let you do it.
