I am contemplating putting together a gospel steel stage show in my little town of Troy Mills Iowa to benefit our Church and/or area churches here. The reason is because there seems to be a world-wide withdraw or backing away from the church since 9-11. I feel that music draws people back in and in a back door way it brings people back to the importance of keeping Christ in our lives for a better life and purpose while we are here on this earth. I would like thoughts from you Iowa and surrounding state players as well as from others who have organized this type of event.

Kirk - get in touch with Albert Svenddal.
Enjoyed meeting and hearing you this weekend. You and your whole family - right down to Caleb, are VERY talented!! I'm sure what ever you pull together for the gospel show will be spectacular.
Take care and give Caleb a coo or two for me. He's so adorable!

Hi Kirk . I do a Gospel Steel Guitar Jubilee here in Columbus Ohio each year . We have had some great players to help us out . I don't know how you plan to raise funds for your events but one of the best ways is to have a program and get all the sponsers that you can get . Sell them spots in the program . This is one of the best ways that we have found . God bless you and i wish you well . Gary .

Tahks to all of you for your thoughts and ideas. I have some ideas about this but I wanted to pick oyur brains a little bit. Troy Mills is located 30 miles north of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and about 45 miles southeast of Waterloo Iowa. It is a nice small town that i thought would be a good setting for this. Thanks to all. Good luck Kirk. Let me Know if there is anything I can do to help you.
Hey, I listened to the CD you gave me in Waterloo. I loved it! Stay tuned (if you're not working) on Saturday, 3/11 at 8 PM. I plan on airing a couple of the songs. Please let the other members of Western Justice know how enjoyable the CD is.
Thanks!!
