There are 21 songs on this CD. The first cut is Big Shoes to Fill and I think Danny Boy may be the last one. This is some really nice steel work and a great tone. I was told it might be Mickey Overbay. Anybody know for sure? Great tone, sounds like an Emmons PP. Anybody know what his rig consists of? Tone a lot like Buddy, but the playing and licks don't sound like Buddy.
And who is the singer? He is great and the song selections are great also. My kind of stuff: Ballads and Shuffles with great melodies. |

George, maybe Dickey Overby.
I've not heard of Mickey Overbay. Maybe I've been in the Desert too long. _________________ Ray Harrison

I was trying to watch Mickey Adams U-Tube at the same time I was posting this question. So, I got Mickey thrown in instead of Dickey. Old age will do that to you. I think the singer is a truck driver from Ohio, but not sure. Some of you Ohio guys should be able to answer the Question. Is Dickey on the forum? |
