Hello Everyone,
I just finished restoring this teal lacquer '78 Emmons that was in pretty rough shape before I bought it. I think it was bluish green to begin with, so I wanted to keep it as original as possible. I think it looks a little darker in person. I have to give credit to my friend, Bob Littleton, a Luthier in Camas, Washington. He stripped and refinished the cabinet for me. Thanks so much Bob, you do exceptional work!

Here are a few photos of what it looked like when I bought it.
Thanks for looking. It going to be pretty hard to part with this one... _________________ Best regards,

WOW Lynn..You did a BEAUTIFUL job on that guitar!!!!
It is hard to believe that is the same guitar.
It looks factory brand new now!
Congratulations on such a nice job.
Your attention to detail is impeccable my friend!
Thanks for showing that to all. _________________ "Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."

the value of friendship. Old friends shine like diamonds, you can always call them and - most important - you can't buy them. |

Gosh, thank you all for the very kind remarks. I guess I saw a "diamond in the rough" when I spottted this beat up guitar for sale on this Forum a good while ago. It really took a lot of time and effort to get it back to this condition. More than most could even imagine...
As for the Kluson tuners; I wanted to put "period correct" ones on this guitar and just happened to have enough of them to do it. I picked out the best ones I could find, from all I had collected over the years. They are not being produced anymore, as far as I know. I just saw a set of 20 go for a little over $100 on eBay a couple of weeks ago. A real bargain, if you needed them!
I have a local, professional metal polishing shop do all my polishing work for me, here in the Portland area. They have someone there that knows the tricks to get the finish right on aluminum.
Bob Littleton really went the "extra mile" for me. I was pretty picky about the color I wanted, so it took him a couple of times to get it just right, before he finally laid the clear coats on. Thanks for your patience, Bob _________________ Best regards,
