Just wanted to acknowledge and thank you for your kind reference to the JERRY BYRD FAN CLUB. It's very much appreciated.

Very sorry to learn of your illness. Hopefully, you'll enjoy a speedy recovery.

Ray,

Thank YOU for your most kind and commendable dedication to and production of the Jerry Byrd Fan Club ....for many years now. I personally know that Jerry deeply treasured your Being and mutual Friendship and your dedication to Jerry and his Music. Who else would have ever done what you have and so well? Jerry's own words made it clear that Skipper was one of the brightest stars in Jerry's sky. I deem what you have done a treasure for All to know about or discover.

I would have been remiss if not derelict to not have referenced you and the Jerry Byrd Fan Club. "Any" memorial to Jerry would be incomplete without it.

MELE KALIKIMAKA ... HAOLE MAKAHIKI HOU

Kelvin,

Thank You for your kind words. I hope "all" is still going reasonably well for you.

And Thank You for your service to our Brothers and Sisters back in vietnam; I hope you know how much Live Music meant to the Brotherhood.

Yes; Thanks to our commo jogging my memory last year, I remember you from / at the Dong Ba Thin Officers Club in '69 ("round eyes band at the O'club tonight guys .... maybe some round eye chicks in the band ! ). It vaguely seems that I might have even retrieved and shown you my old Les Paul Jr. that was often strapped to the back of my pilot seat for some moments of sanity during breaks. I also vaguely remember (or so it seems) that you asked what was good and bad on our supper menu comped for your gig, ....and you mentioning some unpleasant time(s) prior to learning to ask! I was quite amazed that you actually remembered our encounter in vn, exactly where it occured and when and my name to look up after 40 years; THAT's a phoenominal memory, my Friend. A lot of vn has remained a fog in my mind, after trying hard to flush that toilet when the crappin' was over. The memories of our encounter would probably not have been retrieved from the dungeon had our commo not called them out. THANK YOU.

I hope I'm well enoug for us to hook up next time you come to Hawaii. Seems like I was under the weather a bit when you were here last year; Very good we got to talk though.

Here's our DBT company reunited online; You might enjoy surfing:

Rvn 1969; Where is that freakin' R chord !

Gotta run; Horizontal Rx's kickin' in; Present becoming a fog !

Surely wishing you and yerz a Very Merry Christmas and Happiest of New Years.

If you haven't been apprised before let me tell you Denny Turner's website is one of the best, if not the best, of the bunch. Tremendous effort expended to make this site one of the most informational I've seen in my career. Everything from sales to one of the best teaching methods around for both standard and steel guitars. Take a shot at it and just browse around. See if you disagree with me.
You new folks really need to look at his method for teaching.

Philip,

Thank You for your email. I replied to it last night (just in case "Murphey's" filters were on, etc).

------------

To avoid any confusion / misunderstanding; The Chandler tele was sold to SGF Forumite 'M.D.' (initials for privacy) not quite 2 hours before I received your email. In the "mad" & dizzy rush of Christmas I couldn't get to marking it SOLD on the website until just after receiving Phillip's email.

------------

Being that it's impossible for mortal man to navigate to a point on earth by using stars and planets which move across the night sky; I've wondered if maybe the Star of Bethlehem might have been a "UFO" ??? Smile

Happy Birthday, Boss.

phred,

Thank You for your generous compliments. I don't feel deserving of near that much at all; Although it's soothing to make-believe such during trying times! My website is just trying to supplement medical retirement while archiving a normal course of business and eccentric love for guitars, Music and their mechanics; With a big debt and desire to somehow pay back the cosmos for the countless Musicians who generously offered & shared their love and knowledge.

Best on the internet? I think that would be The Steel Guitar Forum !

Thank You again; Gotta run and finish up some things for the Boss's birthday party tommorrow.

Merry Christmas to all y'all on the SGF. Denny's website is indeed compelling ... I could not resist the Chandler tele, assisted in no small part in my decision by wonderful pics and descriptions.

Better health in the new year DT, and thanks for helping a tele lover out with Christmas shopping!
